However we are wondering if there is any other way for them to schedule a Teams meeting in Outlook? It seems kind of ridiculous that Microsoft would not add some sort of a workaround at least where they could manually schedule the meeting. I understand that if we want to use the Teams Outlook add-in, we need to have them activated with an Office 365 license. This does not show up on any of the Macs the users use. In other instances of Microsoft Teams, in the Teams app there is an app on the sidebar for "Meetings". Once they click OK on that prompt nothing else happens.

In the Mac Outlook calendar, they have a button that says "Add Teams meeting" and when they click that they are prompted to sign in to Outlook with their Office 365 email.

The organization jumped the gun a little bit and decided to have everyone download Teams and get set up with it, however we are finding out that for the Mac users they don't have the ability to schedule a meeting. Some of the users are on Mac, and all of the users have individually licensed copies of Microsoft office, none of them are activated with a Office 365 license.

They have Teams licenses through Office 365, they all have the Microsoft Business Basic licenses. They are using Azure AD that syncs with an on-premise AD server and they use on-premise Exchange. One of the organization's we support recently rolled out Microsoft Teams.
